Jewish Education Initiative

Connecting Jewish youth and adults to their heritage through scholarships, tutoring, Hebrew language programs, and Jewish studies.

Education is the cornerstone of Jewish continuity. Our Jewish Education Initiative provides access to quality Jewish learning for individuals and families across the economic spectrum — because financial hardship should never be a barrier to Jewish identity.

What We Offer

  • Merit and need-based scholarships for Jewish day school and supplemental education
  • University-level Jewish studies grants and Birthright Israel trip sponsorships
  • Adult Hebrew language classes (beginner through advanced)
  • Bar/Bat Mitzvah tutoring assistance for underprivileged families
  • Jewish history and culture workshops for youth groups
  • Partnership with Hillel chapters at local universities

Who We Serve

Students of all ages — from Hebrew school children to adult learners discovering or rediscovering their Jewish identity. Priority is given to families demonstrating financial need.

Loneliness and isolation among Jewish seniors is a silent crisis. Our Elder Care & Wellness program provides hands-on support, meaningful connection, and practical assistance to help our elders live with dignity.

  • Weekly home visits and friendly companion calls from trained volunteers
  • Transportation to medical appointments and synagogue services
  • Shabbat and holiday meal delivery
  • Social clubs and group activities at partnering senior centers
  • Assistance navigating Medicare, Social Security, and social services

Antisemitism is rising. Jewish communities deserve to feel safe — in synagogues, schools, and public life. Our Anti-Hate & Advocacy program works proactively to protect communities and fight back through education, training, and civic action.

What We Do

  • Free security assessments and training for synagogues and Jewish institutions
  • Antisemitism incident reporting guidance and legal referral
  • Collaboration with local law enforcement and the ADL
  • Community education on recognizing and responding to hate
  • Legislative advocacy for hate crime enforcement
